No more coffee grounds in the brew, no more grounds on the counter and no more coffee that is too strong or two weak and it is all possible due to a coffee machine pod. These ingenious little things have been around awhile, but since companies began making more flavors for them, their growth has exploded.

They come in various sizes and flavors, depending on the quantity and flavor you want to brew and the coffee machine pod is aimed at convenience. The coffee is encased in coffee filter material in pre-measured amounts for two, four or up to ten cups of coffee. Put one in the filter basket, add water to the machine and turn it on. When the brewing cycle is completed just throw away the used coffee machine pod and get ready for the next pot of coffee to be made.

When they first arrived on the scene, they typically contained regular and decaffeinated coffee and any flavoring wanted had to be added in the form of flavored creamers. Today, most of the popular flavors of coffee, hazelnut, cinnamon and many others and available in pre-measured coffee machine pods.

Available For Various Size Machines

Originally designed for eight or ten cup machines, a coffee machine pod can now be found for various size coffee makers. There are even coffee machine pods for one-cup brewers and are especially found useful in four-cup machines. They have been available for years in the four-cup size in motels for in-room coffee, but the recent surge in sales of four-cup brewers for the home have increased the sales.

They can be especially useful for those pressed for time and believe the few minutes saved by not having to put the grounds into a filter is worth the few cents more per pot that the coffee machine pod costs. Others find the knowledge that they won’t spill ground all over their kitchen counter very appealing and still others like the idea of throwing the used coffee machine pod in the trash while not worrying about dropping it on the way to the garbage can.

Whatever the reason you choose, you can find a coffee machine pod for the size of the machine you have and in many of the most popular flavors on the market. They do save time and effort when making your morning beverage and saves inadvertent messes when cleaning out the filter basket. Basket adapters are also available for machines requiring a cone-shaped filter.
